She / Her / Hers
Community is love, telling and sharing stories, dancing and connection and the knowledge that we have each others backs whether we have internal disagreements or not.
If you're struggling with your gender and/or sexual identity: Look at photos of people who are doing what you feel you can't. Listen to their stories and read them. Find mentors.Read a lot. Know that someone out there is possibly seeing you as affirmation of who they are. Notice how you talk to yourself and adjust kindly if you can. But start with noticing. One person told me once about how she loved her body because they had been through so much together, she and her body. And that it would be unkind to repay that with hate. Know that there are many others who are also struggling with their identity , sexuality and their body. You're not alone.Tell your story and listen to others who do. Our stories sustain us.
If you feel like you are unable to be your authentic self right now, at this moment: Talk to yourself in the mirror in a kind way. Be kind to yourself. Look for a queer bookstore in your area.
If you may be experiencing bullying, peer pressure or force because you are queer know this: I love you and so do many others. You are beautiful and handsome and amazing. and you are not alone.
