She / Her / Hers
Community to me is a connectedness of shared experiences and beliefs. The LGBTQ community gives me a sense of belonging, that I’m not othered, and that I have people and I can support and stand up for and I know they will do the same for me.
If you are someone who is struggling with your gender and/or sexual identity, just remember that it’s a process. Go easy on yourself and have faith that you will find a place you feel comfortable with yourself and you will meet some amazing people along the way.
Have faith, and give yourself an outlet where you can let go every now and again if you currently feel like you can't be your authentic self. There will come a time when you can wear rainbows and hot pants to your heart's content, this is just the beginning. It will get better and you are loved.
It’s hard to see it now, but bullies only do it because they don’t know how to deal with their own emotions about someone different or something outside of their comfort zone. Whatever they’re bullying you for, it really isn’t about you. Feel sorry for them, keep your head up and never apologise for being you. You are AWESOME.
